Wellness Tip of the Month

During these stressful times, proper nutrition is important. It’s much easier to reach for a burger when you’re on-the-fly. The problem with fast food is that it’s going to cause a sharp spike and drop in energy levels and doesn’t give you the steady sustained energy you need while on shift. Try foods that are high in protein and have balance of slow-digesting carbs such as yams, oats, and most vegetables.  An example of a modification: when ordering a burrito is to get it in a bowl and substitute brown rice or ask for a whole wheat wrap.
